Our mission is to bring a bit of sunshine into the lives of families living in poverty by providing children aged 0-5 years with the essentials of daily life.
About us:
Sunshine Baby Bank was launched on the first day of summer in 2020, joining some 100 established charities across the UK supporting families living in poverty.
We aim to support children living in poverty aged 0-5 years including pregnant women, new parents/carers and households facing financial hardship. We work closely with keyworkers in the health and wellbeing sector to provide assistance to these groups in the Southend, Westcliff and Rochford wards.
We hope to reach as many families requiring crisis support during these difficult times as possible. Our charity supplies new essential items including cots, buggies, clothing, educational toys, and other items of immediate need such as milk formula for parents/carers, babies, and children up to the age of 5, free of charge.
In 2021, Sunshine Baby Bank established our base at Labyrinth House, 258 Westborough Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, SS0 9PT. Labyrinth House is a family wellbeing and therapeutic hub and seedbed centre for like-minded charities and public sector organisations in the heart of Westcliff-on-Sea.
